EyeMed vision plans are not available for employees in Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and the American territories.
At NSU, there are two EyeMed Vision Insurance plans available from ICUBA.
The Base Vision plan covers vision exams every 12 months, frames every 24 months, or contact lenses every 12 months with a $100 retail allowance.
The Enhanced (Buy-Up) Vision plan covers vision exams every 12 months, frames every 12 months, or contact lenses every 12 months with a $130 retail allowance.

Vision Insurance from EyeMed will be updated on Thursday following your new hire enrollment or the approval of the life event by the Office of Human Resources.
Example: A life event approved on Friday will be updated with EyeMed before the close of business on the following Thursday and your benefit election will be active in their system on Friday morning (actual effective dates of coverage are based on the life event documentation submitted) .
